JacobRolf Jacob Sartorius, a boy who was born in Oklahoma was raised in Tulsa. His parents were unable to provide for him at the time of his birth so he was adopted before being relocated to Virginia. His adoptive parents took care of him in Reston Virginia. At seven year old, Sartorius was singing in musicals, and then began to discover his love of performing. Vine is an American web-based video hosting platform that provided short-form videos. In 2017, Sartorius' lip-syncing videos were viewed by more than 8 million users. Sartorius believed that using social media allowed him to get away from harassment because he'd been a victim. It was said that prior to Musical.ly I was never one of the loudest. He believed that everyone would be watching except the camera.
